Going on vacation is almost always fun. Planning a vacation, however, can be a huge stress, and many times it doesn’t go as smoothly as you’d like. Make a ScheduleThe first thing to do when planning a trip is to make a schedule about what you will be doing with your time. You may think this is obvious, but a lot of times people will pack a bag with too much stuff just in case or not enough items because they don’t know what to expect. Try to pack clothes that you can mix and match easily. If you want to make sure that it doesn’t look like you are wearing the same outfit several times in a row, get creative with your accessories and layer an outfit with a jacket. It will surprise you how different an outfit can look if you wear your hair differently or roll your pant legs.Avoid ClutterIt can be so frustrating to pack everything nicely for a trip only to arrive at the hotel and find that all of your jewelry is tangled together or that your pajamas are at the very bottom of the stack of nicely folded clothes. For this reason, you should try to pack in organized sections. Don’t throw everything into one place, and make sure you pack by category so you can find things easier. It may be worth it to invest in some organizing tools like a makeup travel bag. Another tool that helps keep things organized is plastic bags. They are great in case something spills, and they are see through so you can always find what you need easily.Use Hotel ToolsNo one likes to live out of a suitcase. It just is too hard to find things and everything ends up smelling like your gym shoes. So when you get to a hotel, use what they have for you. If they have a closet, use that space to hang your clothes. Use the drawers for your clothes and make yourself at home for the duration of your trip. You may think that it is a waste of time since you are only staying for a few days or a week, but it will make you feel much more comfortable during your stay.
